What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):
The Specialist, Investigationsis responsible forresolving client inquiries related to missing deposits, posting errors, and other account discrepancies for Commercial Banking and Corporate clients. The role involves conducting complex investigations, providing detailed explanations to clients, and ensuring a high standard of service while minimizing potential loss to CIBC.

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):
- Ensure prompt andaccurateresolution of client investigation requests, both straightforward and complex, to deliver high-quality service and mitigate potential loss to CIBC.
- Receive, analyze, and investigate client requests through Client Connect, documenting corrective actions and resolutions.
- Assistclients in resolving posting errors, missing items, and missing wallet deposits.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring anomalies toidentifysources of error and recommend solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally, escalating unresolved issues to the Manager, Investigations.
- Liaise with business partners and support centers, including Retail Operations, INTRIA, and branch networks, to complete investigations and fulfill requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement byidentifyingareas to enhance the client experience or resolve challenges.
- Stay updated on internal and external developments to respond promptly to customer needs.
- Provide customers with detailed explanations of recommended actions or alternatives and verify their understanding.
- Recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of experience.
Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in banking operations, investigations, or client service.
- Proficiencyin English (written and verbal).
- Detailed knowledge of bank clearing procedures and currency operations processes.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking and Corporate client products, services, and procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills for handling sensitive situation.
- Ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity under time constraints.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer literacy andproficiencywith ,Microsoft Office suite.
