Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader from the Insurance Broking or General Insurance space to lead and scale our Hyderabad operations. The role carries full responsibility for revenue growth, team building, market expansion, and profitability .

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams, driving strong topline growth, and managing insurer relationships while ensuring compliance with regulations governed by Insurance Regulatory and Development

Key Responsibilities

1. P&L Ownership

  • Full accountability for revenue, EBITDA, margins, and cost management.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth across retail and corporate segments.
  • Monitor financial performance, MIS, forecasts, and corrective action plans.

2. Revenue & Business Development

  • Lead acquisition of large corporate accounts and key partnerships.
  • Expand cross-sell and upsell across product lines (Health, Motor, Property, Liability, Specialty).
  • Build relationships with insurers for competitive placement and product innovation.
  • Identify new revenue streams including digital distribution and affinity partnerships.

3. Strategic Planning & Market Expansion

  • Define 3–5 year growth strategy including geographic and segment expansion.
  • Strengthen positioning in emerging segments such as cyber insurance, SME, employee benefits.

4. Operations & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) or relevant regulator depending on geography).
  • Drive operational efficiency, process automation, and customer experience excellence.
  • Oversee underwriting coordination, claims advocacy, and policy servicing standards.

5. Team Leadership

  • Build and lead high-performance sales, placement, and operations teams.
  • Set performance KPIs and drive a strong accountability culture.
  • Mentor second-line leaders and succession planning.
