About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Engineering (Mechanical) to lead all mechanical and engineering operations for a leading apparel manufacturing facility. This is a strategic leadership role for professionals passionate about optimizing plant performance, implementing innovative engineering solutions, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee mechanical and engineering operations across the facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery, utilities (boilers, HVAC, DG, compressors), and plant infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to maximize uptime and optimize operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN, TPM, and energy efficiency programs.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Plan and manage CAPEX for machinery and plant upgrades.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 12–18 years in engineering/maintenance roles within apparel, textile, or manufacturing industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and plant operations.
  • Proven track record in team management, project execution, and process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
