We are seeking a passionate and creative MYP Theatre Teacher to inspire students through dynamic performing arts education. The role involves delivering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Arts curriculum while nurturing students’ confidence, collaboration, and creative expression through drama and performance-based learning.

The ideal candidate will bring strong pedagogical expertise in theatre arts along with a deep understanding of IB philosophy and assessment practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Theatre lessons aligned with the IB MYP Arts framework.
  • Develop students’ competencies in acting, scriptwriting, directing, improvisation, voice, movement, and stagecraft.
  • Organize and direct school productions, performances, showcases, and inter-school theatre events.
  • Design formative and summative assessments in accordance with IB guidelines and criteria.
  • Maintain accurate student portfolios and support IB documentation and assessment requirements.
  • Promote inquiry-based, experiential, and interdisciplinary learning approaches.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment.
  • Partner with Arts faculty and other subject teachers to implement cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Mentor students in their personal, artistic, and creative growth.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theatre, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory experience teaching IB MYP Theatre or MYP Arts.
  • Strong understanding of IB philosophy, learner profile, and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Experience directing or managing school productions is preferred.
