Position Title: MRD (Medical Records Department) Trainer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRD Room Trainer to design and deliver structured training programs focused on Medical Records Department operations, documentation standards, record maintenance, and compliance protocols.
The trainer will be responsible for equipping MRD staff and healthcare professionals with practical knowledge of medical record management, confidentiality standards, audit preparedness, and regulatory compliance to ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency in hospital record systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive training on MRD operations and medical record management.
Train staff on patient file handling, documentation accuracy, and record completion standards.
Educate participants on IPD and OPD record flow, discharge summary verification, and file indexing.
Provide guidance on record retention policies and retrieval systems.
Train teams on confidentiality, data privacy, and medico-legal documentation requirements.
Conduct mock audits and documentation gap analysis sessions.
Ensure alignment with NABH and other healthcare accreditation standards.
Introduce digital record management and EMR basics (if applicable).
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning outcomes.
Prepare SOPs, checklists, training materials, and evaluation reports.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Medical Records Department (MRD) operations and hospital documentation systems.
Practical experience in medical record auditing and compliance review.
Understanding of medico-legal documentation requirements.
Familiarity with NABH standards related to medical records and documentation.
Ability to train multidisciplinary healthcare teams including MRD staff, nurses, and quality executives.
Strong analytical, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Capability to develop structured training modules and assessment tools.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Medical Records Science, or related field.
Certification in Medical Records Management or Healthcare Quality preferred.
Additional training in Health Information Management (HIM) or EMR systems is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MRD operations, hospital quality, or medical documentation audit.
Prior training experience preferred.
