Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior iOS Mobile Application Engineer to own the maintenance and stabilization of a mature iOS mobile application. This role is not feature‑driven; it focuses on removing monetization capabilities, ensuring long‑term stability, platform compliance, and security while preserving full functionality for existing users.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth analysis of an existing iOS codebase and application architecture.
• Disable and/or remove all in‑app subscription and purchase workflows, including:
• New subscription sign‑ups
• Subscription renewals
• Any mechanisms that extend user access
• Ensure existing users continue to authenticate and use the app with no loss of functionality.
• Maintain compatibility with ongoing iOS and device updates.
• Proactively address changes required to meet evolving Apple App Store policies and guidelines.
• Prepare, validate, and publish compliant app builds to the App Store.
• Monitor iOS beta releases and identify potential breaking changes early.
• Apply critical and high‑severity security fixes only, using a risk‑based approach.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during maintenance releases and incident resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in iOS application development using Swift.
• Strong experience working with large, legacy, or long‑lived mobile codebases.
• Hands‑on experience modifying or removing in‑app purchase and subscription flows.
• Deep understanding of Apple App Store submission, review, and compliance processes.
• Solid knowledge of iOS security best practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to work independently in a stability‑first, low‑change environment.
