Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and HR operations for a growing mid-sized organization based in Lower Parel, Mumbai.
This role will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while ensuring strong execution across talent acquisition, performance management, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, systems thinking, and the ability to build scalable HR frameworks.
The HRBP will partner with leadership to develop workforce plans aligned to business growth strategy and design organizational structures that support scalability and efficiency. The role involves identifying capability gaps, building hiring roadmaps, and leading end-to-end talent acquisition across functions. The candidate will establish competency-based hiring frameworks, strengthen employer branding, build sustainable talent pipelines, and drive structured onboarding and integration processes.
The HRBP will design and implement a robust performance management system, driving goal-setting cycles aligned to business objectives and facilitating quarterly and annual performance reviews. The role includes coaching managers on performance conversations, enabling a strong feedback culture, identifying high-potential talent, supporting succession planning, and implementing performance improvement plans where necessary.
A key responsibility will be working closely with business heads to define KRAs and KPIs at organization, team, and individual levels, ensuring clear alignment between business strategy and measurable outcomes. The HRBP will implement tracking mechanisms and dashboards, drive review cadence and accountability structures, and enable data-driven performance decisions.
The role also involves leading and mentoring the HR team, building scalable HR processes and SOPs, strengthening systems and automation, and ensuring best practices across the employee lifecycle. As a culture custodian, the HRBP will drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a performance-oriented and values-driven work environment.
The candidate will oversee monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, gratuity, and other applicable regulations. The role requires managing audits, maintaining regulatory documentation, staying updated on labour law amendments, and coordinating with finance for seamless payroll reconciliation.
In addition, the HRBP will act as a trusted escalation point for employee grievances, conduct investigations where required, and recommend fair and balanced resolutions. The role includes ensuring POSH compliance, managing Internal Committee processes, driving conflict resolution, and strengthening employee relations to improve engagement and retention.
The ideal candidate should hold an MBA or PGDM in HR or an equivalent qualification, with 9–12 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization. Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, demonstrated experience in performance management and organizational design, strong stakeholder management skills, high integrity, process orientation, data-driven decision-making capability, and the ability to mentor and lead a team are essential for success in this role.
