You will jointheSystem Test teamthat is responsible for defining and implementing theoverall testingstrategy for WiFi & Networking access points. You shall be oneof the key leads to make significant improvements to customersatisfaction and adoption of Qualcomm’s connectivity solutions.This involves developmentof test plans,tools and automation framework for validating and qualifying theWiFi routers. You will work closely with systems team, development,and architecture team to understand the features anddefine test plansand solutions needed to deliver production grade software/firmwareto the endcustomer.
Youwill be collaborating with a variety of internal teams in Qualcommcovering multiple engineering disciplines including software,systems, and hardware. The successful applicant should have adiverse skill set and a strong background incontinuous testingand automationstrategies
Responsibilities:
- Acknowledgeand operate under the premise that all customer-reported issues areindicative of an area for enhancement within the QualityAssuranceprocesses
- Must beresponsible for analyzing new feature and develop/createnew test plansand addingnew test cases
- ManageInfrastructure,develop test topologiesand prepare use cases forvalidation
- Work withcross functional teams for supporting end-to-endrelease
- Directs smallteam of engineers on gathering, integrating, and interpretinginformation from a variety of sources in-order to troubleshootissues and findsolutions.
- Develop theright skill and train the team. Serves as a mentor to Engineers andSenior Engineers and teaches them about complex features,systems, testingstrategies, andautomation.
- Conductlog analysis with team members to identify where an issue hasoccurred and makes recommendations for how to address theissue.
- Networks withcolleagues within own domain to gain insight, ideas, andconnections. Shares information with peers and juniorengineers.
- Collaborateswith functional and lab teams, IO teams, network operators, fieldteams, and product management teams to ensure thatthe testingplan is accurate for addressing featureissues.
MinimumQualifications
- Bachelor’sor Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, ComputerScience, Electronics & communications or relatedfield.
- Experience withProgramming Language such as Python, Shell Script(optional)
RequiredSkills andAptitudes
- Experienceworking with embedded systems andproducts
- Very strongPassionfor test.
- Interestand experience in interacting with customers, anddriving test basedon customers’needs
- Self-motivated.Ability to lead by example.
- Excellentcommunicationskills.
- Strongproblem-solvingskills
MinimumQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relatedfield and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related workexperience. ORMaster’s degree in Engineering,Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+years of Software Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, ComputerScience, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering orrelated work experience.
• 4+ years of workexperience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python,etc.
13+ yrs ofrelevantexperience
