As we scale, we are looking for a fractional HR Executive to help build the people, structure, and systems backbone of the company.

Role Overview

This is not a maintenance HR role.

We are looking for someone who can build and formalise HR systems from the ground up, structure recruitment processes, and help shape a strong, accountable culture in an early stage environment.

This is a part time hybrid role with flexibility. You will work closely with the founders and be required to come into the office a few times a month for hiring, alignment meetings, and key team processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Systems & Foundations

  • Set up core HR policies, documentation, and processes
  • Create structured offer letter and employment contract templates
  • Design onboarding and exit frameworks
  • Build performance review and goal setting systems
  • Support organisational structuring and role clarity
  • Coordinate ESOP documentation with legal and finance teams

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Own end to end hiring across creative, operations, marketing, and leadership roles
  • Structure interview workflows and evaluation frameworks
  • Manage LinkedIn hiring pipelines and candidate communication
  • Build talent pipelines for future growth
  • Support compensation benchmarking for early stage roles

3. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Coordinate payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws
  • Maintain employee documentation and records
  • Develop and formalise an HR policy handbook

4. Culture & Performance

  • Support founders in building a high performance, accountable culture
  • Implement basic performance tracking systems
  • Help formalise internal communication and feedback processes
  • Manage employee relations with discretion and emotional intelligence

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of hands on HR experience
  • Proven experience owning recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build HR systems and documentation from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing employee relations with professionalism and discretion
  • Clear communicator with strong organisational and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working in early stage or scaling startup environments
  • Experience coordinating payroll and performance review systems
  • Familiarity with ESOP frameworks is a plus
  • Experience in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or D2C brands is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • MBA in HR or a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is a plus
