Cloud Security Engineer

Job Purpose andImpact

• TheCloud Security Engineer will support and strengthen the securityfoundation for Cargill’s modern cloud-based applications andplatforms. In this role, you will apply hands-on cloud engineeringand cybersecurity skills to secure and operateInfrastructure as a Service (IaaS) andPlatform as a Service (PaaS)environments across AWS and Azure. You will work closely withapplication, platform, and DevOps teams to embed security intocloud deployments and contribute to scalable, automated securitysolutions.

KeyAccountabilities

• Implement and support security controls andresiliency mechanisms for enterprise cloudservices
• Configure, manage, and operatecloud security solutions across AWS andAzure, including CSPM platforms suchas Wiz
• Use WizCloud to monitor cloud posture, identifymisconfigurations, and prioritize risks based on exposurecontext
• Partner with application and platformteams to remediate Wiz findings andreduce repeat security issues
• Automatesecurity controls, policies, and workflows usingInfrastructure as Code (Terraform) andscripting
• Collaborate withDevOps, Cloud Platform, Software Engineering, andCompliance teams to integrate security into CI/CDpipelines and cloud deployments
• Supportcloud security incident response,including investigation, remediation, and post-incidentanalysis
• Contribute to security design reviewsand share knowledge with peers and juniorengineers

Qualifications

• RequiredQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalenthands-on experience
  • 4–8 yearsof experience in cloud engineering and/or cloudsecurity roles
  • Hands-on experience withAWS and/or Azure cloudservices
  • Experience implementing cloudsecurity capabilities such as IAM, logging,monitoring, encryption, and network security
  • Practical experience usingcloud security platforms such as Wiz(CSPM, exposure analysis, remediation workflows)
  • Experience with AWS networking and securityconstructs (security groups, routing,firewalls)
  • Hands-on experience withcontainers and container platforms(Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker)
  • Workingknowledge of Infrastructure as Codeusing Terraform or similar tools
  • Scriptingexperience using Python, Golang, orPowerShell
  • Familiarity withDevOps and CI/CD practices, includingintegrating security into pipelines
  • Ability toanalyze logs, metrics, and security findings to support remediationand continuous improvement

  • Security certifications such as CCSP, CEH,GSEC, or similar
  • Experiencesupporting cloud migrations andsecuring workloads at scale
