As a SeniorSoftware Engineer you will participate in the design anddevelopment of new and existing digital solutions for Cargillfocused on Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR). In thisrole, you will be a member of an agile engineering team and willdiscover and deliver solutions to moderately complex problems toenable the company’s digital future. You will apply knowledge ofsoftware engineering and security practices to ensure solutions arescalable, resilient and robust. You will also contribute knowledgeand hands on experience with modern practices and technologies tothe shared engineering community
KeyAccountabilities
Apply software engineering patterns andprinciples to design, develop, test,integrate, maintain and troubleshoot moderately complexsoftware solutions and incorporate security practices in newlydevelopedand maintained applications.
Partner with the team to adopt agilephilosophies, participate in agile ceremonies and identifyimprovement opportunities and participate in peer codereview sessions both as a submitter and as a reviewer to ensurecode quality.
Incorporate the company’s engineering anddevelopment practices within software development life cycleprocesses.
Apply DevOps engineeringprinciples to continuously integrate, test and deploy developedcode.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with aminimum experience of 9 years.
Experience working with React.js, Python,Postgres SQL, CSS, AWS
Experience workingwith automated pipelines for continuous integration,testing, delivery and security
Experience architecting applications,databases, services, orintegrations.
Experience turning userstories into technical development tasks.
