Job Purpose andImpact

The Manager,Network Engineering job sets goals and objectives for theachievement of operational results for the team responsible formaintaining the robustness and efficiency of network infrastructureacross the organization. This job leads the network devicesconfiguration, maintenance and upgrades, and oversees networkperformance monitoring and troubleshooting issues. This job leadsimplementing strategic initiatives to improve network performance,security and scalability, maintains vendor relationships,coordinates budget allocations, and facilitates adopting innovativetechnologies and best in class industry standards to sustain acutting-edge network environment.

KeyAccountabilities

  • NETWORK STRATEGIES: Leads implementingnetwork strategies in line with organizational goals and ensuresthe network infrastructure supports business objectives.
  • NETWORK DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE: Leads the setup andconfiguration of various network devices such as routers, switches,firewalls, and virtual private networks as well as software definednetworking to maintain optimal performance and security.
  • PERFORMANCE MONITORING & OPTIMIZATION: Leads networkperformance monitoring and recommends continuous improvementinitiatives to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • SECURITY MANAGEMENT: Leads implementing and maintainingrobust network security measures to protect against threats andensure data integrity.
  • VENDOR & CONTRACTMANAGEMENT: Maintains relationships with vendors and serviceproviders, supporting contract negotiation and management to ensurethe best value and service quality.
  • INNOVATION& TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION: Stays current with emerging technologiesand industry trends and coordinates the adoption of innovation andmodernization within the network infrastructure.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Coordinates engagement with keyinternal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs andenabling effective communication to assure project alignment andsuccess.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manages team membersto achieve the organization’s goals, by ensuring productivity,communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment,giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progressand holding people accountable, supporting employee development,recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developingenabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive teamculture.

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevantwork experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevantexperience.
