Senior Software Engineer

Job Purpose andImpact

• The Senior Professional,Software Engineering job designs, develops and maintains softwareapplications and systems. With minimal supervision, this jobcollaborates with cross functional teams to define, design andimplement new software features to meet user needs and businessgoals, and upgrade existing software to improve performance andfunctionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable codeand troubleshooting and debugging complex issues. This job alsoparticipates in code reviews to maintain high code quality andshare knowledge with software engineering teammembers.

KeyAccountabilities

• SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Designs and develops high-qualityintegration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite, includingCloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors.Writes clean, maintainable, and scalable integration logic acrosscloud and hybrid environments..
• AUTOMATION:Leads the automation of integration deployments using SAP BTP toolsand CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.Supports DevOps practices to enhance integration delivery andoperations.
• COLLABORATION: Partners withcross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, andengineers—to gather complex integration requirements and deliverrobust solutions. Collaborates with internal and external IT teamsto ensure seamless data exchange across SAP and non-SAPsystems.
• TESTING & DEBUGGING: Writes andmaintains unit and integration tests for SAP BTP flows. Performsdebugging and root cause analysis to ensure performance,reliability, and compliance with integration standards.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Identifies and implementsproactive improvements to enhance the efficiency, scalability, andstability of the integration platform. Stays current with SAP BTProadmap and industry trends in integration technologies.
• DOCUMENTATION: Builds and maintains comprehensivedocumentation for SAP BTP integration flows, deployment processes,and system configurations to support operational transparency andknowledge sharing.
• TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Providestechnical support and troubleshooting for complex integrationissues, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution. Participatesin peer reviews and mentors team members on SAP BTP developmentpractices.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of 4 years of hands-onexperience in BTP Integration. Typically reflects 5 years or moreof relevant experience.
• Minimum requirement of10 years of Total IT experience preferably in Integrationarea.
