Qualcommis looking for an experienced Chipset Power System Engineer who ispassionate in solving power challenges and develop innovativesolutions for optimizing power for next generation Snapdragonautomotive chipsets. The engineer is expected to lead across-functional engineering team to model SOC/chipset power andcome up with innovative solutions to optimize hardware and softwareto enhance SOC and chipset and achieve world-class chipset lowpower consumption. In this position, the engineer will be involvedin all stages of the design and development cycles guiding thepower-efficient design of the end-end solution.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
Powerarchitecture and tradeoff analysis
Chipsetand system level power modeling, analysis and optimization for SOC,chipset and platform solutions.
Identifypower requirements and quantify power gap/riskareas.
Optimizepower efficiency and performance of present generation designs andhelp architect future products.
Guidemulti-function groups through the design cycle in realizing thepower targets set forth at the inception of the project.
Designof power features and work with cross functional teams (systems,software, hardware, silicon process, production test,etc.).
Customerinteraction to advertise the capabilities of the chipset, and tounderstand and address specific power requirements.
Powermodeling of customer-specific use cases and designs.
MinimumQualifications
AMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field isrequired as aminimum.
Analysisand design of low power features at SOC, chipset or platformlevel.
Architecturalknowledge in application processor, modem processor, AR/XR, machinelearning, automotive orcomputing.
Systemknowledge of automotive SOC orchipset.
Hardwareor software design or optimizations of low powerfeatures.
Systemlevel power modeling and analysis.
EducationRequirements Required: Master’s or Doctorate, ElectricalEngineering or equivalent experience
MinimumQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, ComputerScience, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering orrelated work experience. ORMaster’s degree inEngineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relatedfield and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related workexperience. ORPhD in Engineering, InformationSystems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of SystemsEngineering or related workexperience.
