Roles and Responsibilities The role holder is responsible for managing the team of Regional Current/Saving Account (CA/SA) Channel Managers and responsible for building current/saving account book for the Retail Banking unit. The incumbent should possess strong current/saving account product knowledge and should have relevant field experience in driving a team spread across diverse geographies. He/ She should be able to drive the overall CA/SA business through active engagement with the regional and zonal leadership through his own team deployed across regions. Strategic/ Managerial Responsibilities: Takes effective decisions for his function/role/team, focusing on the overall business objective and accordingly augment his engagement with the regional/zonal leadership across Retail and Affluent Banking units Effectively uses positive influencers and counters negative influencers to drive and meet his business objectives Should have the ability to effectively engage with top management and articulate/present the progress on defined business objectives Handle team of Regional Program Managers to drive CA/SA & related business in local geographies Core Responsibilities: Accountable for building the overall CA/SA book for the Retail/Affluent Banking Units. Drive the solution-based CA/SA hook strategy by cross selling TPP, CMS, TFX, POS, Business Banking thereby ensuring sustainable CA/SA AMB growth Tracks team productivity across parameters and monitors daily book movement. Responsible to maintain the quality of CA/SA business in line with the stated organization and regulatory objectives. Responsible for deepening the relationship through M+N, M+1 & M0 strategy. Provides expertise to field teams on overall CA/SA business that includes Acquisition, Retention and Enhancements in CA/SA AMBs for Retail/Affluent Banking units. People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities: Monitors and enables the achievement of goals and KPIs for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of performance management process in his team Handling internal and external stakeholders and to demonstrate good Interpersonal skills to facilitate stakeholder support on all processes/system alignment Nurtures talent within the team by providing required guidance and timely feedback through periodic one-on-one sessions Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities:• Follows risk policy and processes to mitigate the operational, regulatory, financial, informational, and reputational and audit risks as instructed by the departmental manager. • Periodic evaluation and benchmarking against competition offering and propose recommendations/action to improve in existing product offering to suit customer needs
