Surgical Gastroenterologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Gastroenterologist to join our surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically managing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and related organs. The role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced surgical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal surgeries, including laparoscopic and open procedures.
• Manage conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
• Perform procedures such as colorectal resections, hepatobiliary surgeries, pancreatic surgeries, and minimally invasive GI surgeries.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Ensure comprehensive post-operative care and follow-up.
• Manage surgical complications and emergencies effectively.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and critical care teams.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
• Participate in academic activities, audits, and quality improvement initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications And Requirements

• MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery.
• MCh/DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
• Valid medical license to practice.
• Board certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 years of post-super-specialty surgical experience.
