Role Description
CFO Consultant plays a crucial role in helping clients navigate complex financial challenges and achieve their business objectives through strategic financial management and advice. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in construction industry.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Prepare consolidation schedules, elimination entries, intercompany reconciliations, and supporting workings.
Review subsidiary-level submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Support consolidation system uploads and validations, as applicable.
Assist with general ledger review, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Monitor timely and accurate closing of books as per the closing calendar.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to collate closing information and resolve discrepancies.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and operating plans.
Coordinate with business units to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
Prepare variance analysis between actuals vs budget/forecast.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required by management.
Business Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve financial processes and operational efficiency within client organizations
Qualification and Requirement
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, preferably with professional qualification like Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar
Overall Experience: 2-6 years of relevant experience, with a demonstrated track record of GL and finalization
Industry Experience: We are looking for someone with experience in construction industry only
Strong personal impact, and comfortable dealing with senior and C suite level stakeholders
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and crisp manner
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing client needs, project requirements, and industry trends
Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision remotely
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to turn around things quickly
Willingness to travel as needed
