Role Purpose
To lead and manage the end-to-end Human Resource function for a 250-bed NABH-accredited hospital, ensuring statutory compliance, clinical workforce effectiveness, employee engagement, and a high-performance culture aligned with patient care excellence and healthcare quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Workforce Planning
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with hospital growth, patient care goals, and NABH standards.
• Plan manpower budgeting, workforce optimization, and productivity benchmarks for clinical & non-clinical functions.
• Partner with department heads for staffing forecasts and succession planning.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Lead recruitment for doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure timely hiring for critical care and specialty functions.
• Standardize structured onboarding, credential verification, and licensing checks.
• Maintain hospital manpower strength as per statutory and NABH norms.
3. Performance Management
• Design and drive performance appraisal systems (KPIs/KRAs) for clinical and administrative staff.
• Implement goal setting, periodic reviews, and development plans.
• Support leadership in performance improvement and corrective actions.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
• Maintain harmonious employee relations across shifts and departments.
• Address grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
• Drive engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and culture-building programs.
• Conduct regular employee surveys and feedback mechanisms.
6. Compliance & Statutory Management
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws and healthcare regulations including:
• Shops & Establishment Act
• CLRA
• PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus
• POSH
• Biomedical & hospital-specific norms
• Maintain HR documentation required for NABH audits and quality assessments.
• Manage internal and external audits.
7. Payroll & Compensation
• Oversee payroll, attendance, leave management, and benefits administration.
• Structure compensation bench marking for medical and non-medical staff.
• Monitor overtime, shift allowances, and contractual staffing costs.
8. HR Operations & Systems
• Implement and manage HRIS/HRMS.
• Maintain accurate employee records, policies, and SOPs.
• Ensure seamless HR processes across lifecycle (hire to exit).
9. Policy & Governance
• Formulate and update HR policies aligned with hospital standards.
• Implement code of conduct, disciplinary frameworks, and ethical practices.
• Lead POSH committee and workplace safety initiatives.
10. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Act as strategic HR partner to management and clinical leadership.
• Lead and mentor HR team members.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and staffing agencies.

Qualification & Experience
• MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent
• Min 8-10 years HR experience, with 5+ years in hospital/healthcare setup
• Experience managing 400+ workforce preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare accreditation (NABH/JCI) mandatory
