ITOM Event Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled ITOM Event Management Specialist to support, enhance, and maintain our enterprise monitoring and event correlation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow ITOM , Event Management , and scripting ( PowerShell and Python ) to integrate and automate monitoring tools across the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize ServiceNow ITOM Event Management — including event ingestion, alert correlation, and root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain integrations with monitoring tools using MID Servers, Agent Client Collectors, and custom scripts.
- Develop and maintain check definitions, check instances, and alert polices for Agent Client Collectors.
- Build and fine-tune alert rules, event filters, and correlation logic to reduce noise and improve actionable insights.
- Create automated workflows and remediation scripts for repetitive operational events.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service management teams to ensure monitoring coverage and event health.
- Develop custom dashboards, reports, and performance analytics to support proactive IT operations.
- Troubleshoot issues in event flows, integrations, Agent Client Collectors, MID Servers, and ServiceNow ITOM modules.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training, certified in relevant technologies, with good years of experience.
Preferred qualifications / Skills
- Good years of experience in IT Operations Management (ITOM), Event Monitoring, or ServiceNow Event Management.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Shell for automation and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.G., SENSU, SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, LogicMonitor, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Familiarity with CMDB, and Service Mapping.
- Understanding of event correlation, alert automation, and root cause analysis concepts.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (especially Event, Incident, and Problem Management).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
