With a strong product-market fit in Indonesia, we are now gearing up to launch in new Southeast Asian markets , starting with the Philippines — and we’re looking for someone exceptional to help us lead the charge.
Role Overview
The Chief of Staff / Founder’s Office role works directly with the CEO to drive strategy, planning, reviews, cross-functional program management, and new initiatives across markets, products, and the organization. We believe the winners of the future will be AI-native — operating at a speed and lean headcount that was previously impossible. This role sits at the center of designing BukuWarung’s Operating System and Information Architecture to enable faster and better execution and decision-making.
The role will be central to how the company sets priorities and delivers on them, with a focus on Marketing, Finance, and People.

Key Responsibilities
1. Designing the Company Operating System (Planning, Information Architecture & Reviews)
Strategy Sessions (2 & 5 Year Vision)
- Define the Why, What, and How of the company’s path with Management and Leaders
- Own the structure and execution of these sessions
Bi-Annual Planning Sessions
- Ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables
- Hold leaders accountable for quality of outcomes
- Run planning efficiently and conduct feedback sessions to improve quality
- Identify interdependencies across business, product, and functions
- Call out risks of execution failure
Monthly Reviews
- Ensure priorities set during planning are being met
- Work with leaders before and after reviews to ensure expectations are met
Information Architecture
- Design and implement the organization’s information architecture
- Ensure knowledge flows efficiently and leaders have the data needed for fast decision-making
- Build the documentation context layer across all functions to enable agents to operate effectively
Efficiency Metrics
- Establish and track company-wide benchmarks aligned with business goals
2. AI Adoption & Functional Gaps
AI-First Transition
- Drive AI adoption across every function in partnership with the CEO
- Apply first-principles problem-solving and escalation frameworks
- Conceptualize and implement the organizational agent framework
- Build and deploy AI agents to automate workflows
Identifying Gaps
- Partner with functional leads to identify process or cultural gaps
- Solve hard problems without clear ownership
- Maintain consistently high functional efficiency
Culture of Execution
- Foster high-velocity execution
- Diagnose decision-making or tooling bottlenecks
- Fix issues at the root level

High-Stakes Hiring
- Go deep in hiring leadership and key roles

Org Design
- Partner with the CEO on org design and sequencing of big bets
- Examples include product localization for new markets or research and risk modeling for expansion
High-Intent & Performance Culture
- Build strong feedback loops
- Drive high-intent behaviors that lead to high-performance outcomes
The Way Forward
This is an 18–24 month path to a Tier 1 leadership position. A successful candidate will either:
- Take on a Business or Functional Head role at BukuWarung
- Go on to build their own venture using the skills gained in the role
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5–9 years in Founder’s Office, Strategy, or BizOps at a fast-paced tech startup or top-tier management consulting
- Proven ability to own complex, cross-functional (Tech + Business) programs end-to-end
- Strong first-principles thinking and ability to evaluate second and third-order consequences
- Highly concise written and verbal communication skills
- High ownership and attention to detail without over-engineering
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Familiarity with product development and agile practices
- Experience with internal tools, CRMs, planning or knowledge systems, including AI-powered workflows
