Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Design Engineer based in Kochi. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and refining engineering projects, developing product designs using CAD software, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. The role will also involve conducting technical evaluations, ensuring compliance with design standards, and optimizing both mechanical and electrical engineering solutions for aluminium fabrication projects.

Key Activities

  • Produce CAD/BIM drawings per Schuco specifications with high accuracy.
  • Manage revisions, track approvals, and ensure timely design delivery.
  • Develop and maintain template libraries and design standards.
  • Resolve shopfloor and site queries by providing technical input.
  • Maintain and submit design-related reports: Design Progress Report (Weekly)

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design
  • Strong background in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
  • Expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
  • Ability to evaluate technical specifications and deliver innovative engineering solutions
  • Effective communication and project management skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or fabrication industry
