Job Description:
This position is for Wi-Fi TAC SME in L2 domain, Wi-Fi L2 Engineer will ensure troubleshooting and providing the solution, permanent fixes, software upgrades to maintain end to end services on 24×7 basis which includes Hardware and software, L2 Engineer would ensure support for Device integration with different tools, Fault management related to configuration, device IOS.
Exp Required : Minimum 7–10 years of demonstrated experience in the Wi-Fi / Wireless domain, including at least 4–5 years in Operations & Maintenance and 2–3 years in shift-based operations.
Job Responsibilities :
- Incident and Problem Management for Wi-Fi nodes.
- Handling escalated case with in defined MTTR
- Ensure reduction in fault, which are repetitive in nature.
- Integration Support for New Sites.
- Enterprise Service support for sites deployed in Premium Hotels.
- L2 Support to L1 Team for TT related issues.
- Service Issues Support for slow data throughput, Interference etc.
- Support for PE related Activities of Wi-Fi Elements.
- Special Event Support for Critical Service and Network Outage.
- Knowledge transfer session to L1 & L2 team.
Key Deliverables :
- End to end responsible for the incident Outage for its notification to relevant stakeholders/interfaces and status reporting and follow up on TT from its creation until incident is resolved/closed.
- Providing detailed RCA for critical and catastrophic outages & prepare plan of action to mitigate reoccurrence of such incidence.
- Audit & corrections of Network elements (Wi-Fi Access Points & Controllers) – monitor performance of the installed network and initiate actions to improve the performance.
- Interface with vendors for network Faults, raising TAC case & handle product related issue.
- Interacting with Planning & Operations team to take corrective actions required for Wi-Fi Nodes
- To maintain network KPI’s & TT SLA
- Prepare SOP / MOP for IOS issue & troubleshooting guides for Device deployed SP network
- Daily and Weekly Analysis for Service TT, Auto TT and network availability.
Skills Required :
- Knowledge on Fault Management of Wi-Fi Networks, Service provider work experience would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of IP/ MPLS & expertise in troubleshooting & configuration management.
- Working experience in NOC environment for Fault & config management.
- Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CWNA preferred
- Should have strong knowledge of Wi-Fi standards and Call Flows
- Automation expertise to prepare scripts would be an added advantage
