About SurgeryNow

SurgeryNow is a doctor-led surgical referral and care coordination platform that connects international patients with top surgeons and accredited hospitals in India.

Many patients around the world face long wait times or extremely high costs for surgical procedures. SurgeryNow bridges this gap by enabling patients to access world-class surgical care in India at significantly lower costs and shorter timelines.

Our platform manages the entire medical journey, including:

• Medical evaluation and second opinions

• Hospital and surgeon selection

• Surgical coordination

• Visa, travel, and accommodation support

• Post-operative recovery and follow-up care

Post-operative recovery programs are supported through Dr. Morepen Home’s clinical care network, ensuring continuity of care beyond the hospital stay.

Our mission is to make high-quality surgical care accessible, transparent, and seamless for international patients.

Role Overview

We are looking for high ownership Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) candidates who will work directly with the leadership team to build and scale global referral networks for SurgeryNow.

This is a 0 1 builder role, not a traditional operations or sales role.

The EIR will be responsible for identifying international demand channels, building doctor and hospital partnerships, and launching initiatives that generate a consistent pipeline of surgical patients for India.

You will design the playbook, test strategies, execute yourself initially, and eventually build scalable systems and teams.

This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a global healthcare access platform from the ground up.

What You Will Do

1. Build International Referral Channels (0 1)

Identify and build demand channels such as:

• International doctor referral networks

• Overseas clinics and healthcare providers

• Medical tourism facilitators

You will experiment and scale the most effective patient acquisition channels globally.

2. Build Doctor & Hospital Partnerships

You will identify, approach, and onboard partnerships with:

• International referring doctors

• Clinics and healthcare providers abroad

• Leading hospitals in India

• Specialist surgeons across key specialties

Your goal is to build a trusted global network connecting patients to surgical care in India.

3. Solve Real Operational Problems

Work closely with clinical and operations teams to solve challenges such as:

• Patient evaluation workflows

• Doctor referral coordination

• Hospital case mapping

• International patient logistics

• Pre- and post-operative care coordination

You will design solutions and build playbooks for scale.

4. Launch International Growth Experiments

Launch and test initiatives such as:

• Doctor outreach programs

• Medical webinars and doctor communities

• Referral partnerships with clinics abroad

• Healthcare education initiatives for international patients

You will experiment with different approaches to identify scalable growth models.

5. Build the Playbook for Scale

Once successful strategies are identified, you will:

• Design referral workflows

• Build repeatable partnership models

• Structure doctor referral programs

• Help scale the platform across multiple countries

6. Work Directly with Founders

You will work closely with the leadership team on:

• International expansion strategy

• Doctor network building

• Operational execution

• Scaling surgical referral systems

This role provides deep exposure to building a global healthcare platform from the inside.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 2+ years of experience in startups, consulting, healthcare, or partnerships roles

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be strongly preferred:

• Startup operator roles

• Early-stage startup environments

• Healthcare / hospitals / healthtech platforms

• International partnerships or healthcare networks

Ex-founders or candidates who have built initiatives from scratch are strongly preferred.
