Job Description:
1. Role Summary
A Senior Accounts Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices, vendor bills, and statutory dues.
- Prepare and review bank reconciliation statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters and approvals.
- Review work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance.
3. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce ( CA Inter preferred).
4. Experience
- Typically 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience in financial reporting, taxation, and audit support.
5. Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, ERP systems).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good communication and team management skills.
