Roles & responsibilities:

Automation Team Lead will be responsible for driving automation initiatives across projects, leading a team of automation engineers, identifying opportunities for process optimization, and ensuring delivery of high quality automation solutions. The role requires hands on technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and customers.

Technical Leadership

• Lead automation strategy, roadmap, and implementation for the assigned portfolio.
• Provide hands on guidance in automation frameworks, scripting, and tool usage.
• Review, validate, and optimize automation designs and solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation.

2. Project & Delivery Management

• Plan and oversee end to end automation deliveries.
• Identify automation opportunities through process analysis and stakeholder discussions.
• Track project progress, risks, and dependencies; ensure timely delivery.
• Manage workloads, task assignments, and resource planning for the automation team.

3. Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of automation engineers.
• Conduct regular capability assessments and define skill development plans.
• Drive knowledge sharing sessions, internal upskilling, and code reviews.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business teams, operations, SMEs, and architects to understand requirements.
• Present automation proposals, ROI calculations, and implementation plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer discussions on automation solutions.

Tools & Technologies

Experience in one or more of the following:

• RPA Tools: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, BluePrism, Power Automate.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Java/.NET (optional).
• Frameworks: Custom automation frameworks, API automation, orchestration.
• Other: Git, DevOps pipelines, OCR/AI/ML-based automation (preferred).

6. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and audit standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation (SOPs, design docs, support guides).
• Conduct testing, validation, and performance optimization.
