Formulation Development Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulation Development:
• Design and develop innovative formulations for skincare, haircare, and personal care products such as lotions, face washes, shampoos, conditioners, creams, and serums.
• Modify existing formulations to improve performance, cost-effectiveness, or regulatory compliance.
• Stability & Compatibility Testing:
• Conduct physical and chemical stability studies.
• Analyze and interpret data to determine shelf life and compatibility with packaging materials.
• Raw Material Evaluation:
• Evaluate and qualify new raw materials from suppliers.
• Maintain documentation for raw material specs and safety profiles.
• Technology Transfer:
• Lead the technology transfer process from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring accurate documentation, process specifications, and production protocols.
• Collaborate closely with plant teams to address scale-up challenges and ensure smooth commercialization.
• Regulatory & Documentation:
• Prepare product dossiers, ingredient lists, and compliance documentation as per FDA, BIS, EU, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with regulatory and QA teams for product approvals.
• Cross-functional Coordination:
• Work closely with marketing, packaging, QA, and procurement teams for seamless project execution.
• Ensure timely development and delivery of new products.

Candidate Profile:

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Cosmetic Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on R&D experience in the personal care or cosmetics industry
• Strong understanding of cosmetic formulation, ingredient functionality, and product performance evaluation
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards applicable to personal care products
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environmen
