We are seeking a Junior Nephrologist to join our expert team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This is a full-time opportunity designed for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience in nephrology, focused on delivering comprehensive renal care and supporting critical patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Kidney Biopsy (Mandatory skill): demonstrated experience in performing and interpreting kidney biopsies for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
  • Chronic Disease Management (Mandatory skill): ability to manage and provide long‑term care for patients with chronic kidney disease, ensuring optimal quality of life.
  • Acute Kidney Injury (Mandatory skill): expertise in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring acute kidney injury cases in varied clinical settings.
  • Patient Assessment: proficiency in evaluating patient health histories, symptoms, and diagnostic data to develop personalized care plans.
  • Dialysis Management: hands‑on knowledge in initiating, monitoring, and adjusting hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis therapies for diverse patient populations.
  • Clinical Documentation: meticulous with medical documentation, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant patient records and case histories.
  • Effective communication: strong abilities to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and their families regarding treatment plans and procedures.
  • Problem‑solving aptitude: demonstrated capability to analyze complex medical issues and make timely, evidence‑based clinical decisions for renal care.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management for patients with acute and chronic kidney disorders, including inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Perform kidney biopsies and interpret findings for precise renal disease diagnosis, collaborating with pathology when necessary.
  • Manage dialysis therapies including initiation, maintenance, and troubleshooting dialysis‑related complications for patients with end‑stage renal disease.
  • Develop and monitor care plans for chronic kidney disease, ensuring regular follow‑up, medication management, and patient education.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary medical teams to coordinate patient management in both emergency and critical care scenarios.
  • Document all clinical findings, interventions, and progress notes comprehensively in the hospital information system to ensure continuity of care.
  • Lead patient and family education on kidney health, treatment modalities, dietary restrictions, and preventive care measures.
  • Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and contribute to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
