Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Analyst to drive SAP transformation programs.

You will act as the Business SME, ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and functional correctness during migration.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, migration experts, and testing teams to deliver a seamless and compliant S/4HANA transition.

Key Responsibilities

– Define and execute S/4HANA Migration Test Strategy

– Lead Data Migration validation & financial reconciliation

– Oversee SIT, UAT, Regression & Cutover cycles

– Validate Universal Journal, Business Partner conversion & simplification impacts

– Ensure end-to-end cross-module business flow validation

– Drive defect triage & stakeholder governance forums

– Present risk dashboards to program leadership / steering committee

– Support Go-Live readiness & Hypercare stabilization

– Track defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or SAP Solution Manager

Expert in SAP Modules

Experience in 2+ SAP modules (FI/CO preferred):

  • FI/CO (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Month-End Close)
  • MM (Procure-to-Pay)
  • SD (Order-to-Cash)
  • PP / EWM / PS (good to have)

Strong understanding of:

  • Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  • Business Partner (BP) Conversion
  • Simplification Item impacts
  • Data Migration Cockpit
  • Integration testing (IDOC / API / Middleware)

Critical Migration Testing

– Trial Balance & Open Item Reconciliation

– Inventory & Asset Validation

– Reporting validation (Balance Sheet, P&L, Aging Reports)

– Cross-system interface validation

– Cutover rehearsal & downtime testing

– Custom code impact & regression testing

Risk and Governance

Must demonstrate awareness of:

– Data migration failure risks

– Custom code remediation impact

– Role migration & SoD risk

– Reporting discrepancies in post migration

– HANA performance & batch job risks

Leadership and Soft skills

– Strong stakeholder communication

– Ability to lead war-room defect discussions

– Experience presenting to CFO / CIO / Steering Committee

– Structured documentation & governance minds

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering / Commerce / IT)

– SAP S/4HANA Certification preferred

– Finance domain exposure highly desirable
