The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-caliber Application Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of our global physical security ecosystem. This isn’t just about managing software; it’s about architecting, scaling, and hardening the enterprise-level platforms – Access Control, Identity Management, and Video Surveillance that keep our global workforce safe.
In this role, you will lead the charge in migrating legacy systems to the cloud, optimizing massive SQL databases, and automating the flow of data between HR ecosystems and physical hardware. If you’re a Lenel OnGuard expert who thrives at the intersection of networking, cybersecurity, and physical infrastructure, we want you on the front lines.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Architect Global Resilience: Own the deployment and lifecycle of Lenel OnGuard (v8.2+) across a massive global footprint, ensuring 24/7 high availability.
- Innovate & Integrate: Use OpenAccess RESTful APIs and DataConduIT to build seamless bridges between identity platforms, HR systems, and security hardware.
- Cloud Transformation: Drive the evolution of our security stack by hosting and optimizing solutions within Azure, balancing performance with ironclad security.
- Engineered Precision: Beyond “maintenance,” you will fine-tune system architecture, from SQL Server AlwaysOn clusters to complex VLAN configurations and TLS 1.2+ encryption standards.
- Strategic Leadership: Translate complex technical hurdles into actionable business intelligence for executive leadership, ensuring our security posture evolves faster than the threat landscape.
Your Technical Arsenal
- The Lenel Suite: You are a Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) or Expert (LCE) with deep-tier knowledge of OnGuard v8.2, including Communication/Application servers and cloud-readiness features.
- The Data Core: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, specifically in query optimization, disaster recovery, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
- Advanced Networking: A solid grasp of TCP/IP, firewall logic, and IIS configuration to ensure secure, low-latency communication across global segments.
- The Hybrid Edge: Experience with Genetec Security Center and VMS is a major plus, as is a track record of managing security hardware in a virtualized/cloud environment.
- Automation Mindset: Experience defining custom event-to-action rules (e.g., automated CCTV triggers) and graphical alarm visualizations.
