Non-Venue, Supply Manager (Vendor Partnerships)

Location: City-based (Bangalore / Delhi)

About the Role

At The Wedding Company (TWC), we are building India’s most trusted wedding marketplace. The Non-Venue, Supply Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the vendor ecosystem in a city across categories like decorators, photographers, makeup artists, florists, logistics providers, and other required vendors as per the business needs.

This role sits at the core of our marketplace engine – combining vendor acquisition, relationship management, and commercial negotiations to drive high-quality event fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify, source, and onboard 100–200 high-quality vendors per city
  • Build strong pipelines across categories, including decorators, photographers and videographers, makeup artists, florists, and transport and logistics providers.
  • Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, and reliability
  • Ensure structured onboarding through portfolio validation, pricing alignment, and contract closure.

2. Vendor Activation & Marketplace Fulfillment

  • Ensure onboarded vendors are actively fulfilling orders
  • Work closely with internal teams (sales, planners, and operations) to match vendors to client requirements and improve vendor utilization.
  • Maintain a healthy active vendor base (not just signed vendors)

3. Commercial Negotiation & Pricing

  • Negotiate competitive pricing and margins with vendors
  • Set and standardize category-wise pricing benchmarks, commission structures, and payment terms.
  • Continuously optimize unit economics at city level

4. Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with top vendors
  • Act as the single point of contact for key partners
  • Handle escalations, disputes, and service issues
  • Drive vendor satisfaction while protecting TWC’s interests

5. Quality Control & Performance Management

  • Monitor vendor performance through client feedback, delivery quality, and timeliness.
  • Ensure high-quality vendor pool aligned with TWC brand
  • Remove or downgrade underperforming vendor

6. City-Level Supply Strategy

  • Develop category-wise supply depth based on demand trends
  • Identify supply gaps and proactively fill them
  • Build a tiered vendor network with premium vendors, mid-tier vendors, and backup or long-tail supply.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in: Supply acquisition / vendor partnerships / Business development / marketplace roles.
  • Experience in the event or wedding ecosystem with strong commercial exposure.

Must-Have

  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Proven ability to onboard and manage large vendor bases
  • High ownership and execution speed
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and unstructured environments
  • Existing vendor network in the city is an added advantage
  • Understanding of the wedding/event industry is preferred
  • Experience in pricing or category management is a plus
  • This is a field-intensive role involving regular travel for vendor onboarding, partnership development, and commercial discussions.

  • Built a network of 100+ quality vendors
  • Achieved 90%+ vendor activation
  • Established pricing benchmarks across categories
  • Contributing meaningfully to city GMV and fulfillment reliability
