Job Title: Product Design Engineer – Wiring Harness (Passenger Cars)
Key Responsibilities:• Design and develop Wiring Harness systems for Passenger Cars in line with engineering and regulatory requirements.• Create and support vehicle schematics development and ensure alignment with electrical architecture.• Define connectors, support electrification requirements, and ensure proper DMU integration and packaging feasibility.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to meet product development milestones and project timelines.• Analyze and resolve field issues through structured problem-solving and idea generation.• Participate in technical decision-making and ensure compliance with MB norms, standards, and processes.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with future advancements such as High Voltage and Battery systems.
Required Skills and Experience:• 3–6 years of overall industry experience.• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Wiring Harness Design & Development.• Strong understanding of control systems, ECUs, and electrical-electronic functions within Passenger Cars.• Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, connector selection, electrification, DMU, and packaging.• Basic understanding of product development processes and project lifecycle management.• Experience in handling field issues with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional global teams.• Proven capability in technical decision-making.
Qualifikationen
Educational Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.• Post Graduate qualification in Design / Electrical / Wiring Harness is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):• Awareness of future technological advancements in Wiring Harness development such as Battery and High Voltage systems.• German language proficiency and experience working on global projects.• Experience working with MB norms, standards, and processes.• Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, and PREEVision.• Awareness of PLM systems.
