Assistant General Manager – White Label OTT Solutions

ROLE SUMMARY

The individual would own functional solution architecture and technical credibility across all Tata Play White Label B2B solutions (OTT/DTH/Broadband, Business Operations, Advisory & Consulting) from pre-sales through to deal closure

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead technical discovery workshops, due diligence with customer technology teams
• Orchestrate customer demos working with internal (Technology, CIO, Product) & External (Customer Technical & Business) teams
• Own solution design from discovery to deal closure
• Drive and build the overall technical response for customer requirements via bids / RFP or direct sale
• Develop commercially winning solutions considering client ask and budgets, product capabilities, engineering / customization requirements (including effort estimation)
• Carry responsibility for achievement of Sales target for the year

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Solution Design & Proposal Development – Skilled in translating business and technical requirements into compelling solution narratives, RFP responses, and commercial proposals.
• Analytical & Commercial Acumen – Proficient in pricing strategy, ROI modelling, TCO analysis, and business modelling using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Documentation & Contractual Fluency – Familiarity with legal contracts, NDAs, SOWs, and pricing negotiations in partner solutioning contexts.
• Global Market Awareness – Comfortable working across time zones with sensitivity to cultural and market nuances.
• Excellent communication skills – Explain solutions to non technical and technical CXOs
• Strong stakeholder management – Internal across Technology, CIO, Product, Engineering teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 12+ years of experience in the CME (Communications, Media & Entertainment) industry working on OTT / DTH Technology platforms or equivalent experience with a Media Tech platform vendor
• Proficient at designing OTT/DTH functional (not technical) architecture with a strong understanding of OTT workflows (CMS, SMS, Ingest, Encoding, DRM, Playback) and user interfaces (iOS, Android, Smart TV platforms)
• Worked with media tech ecosystem – Technology Vendors (SMS, Billing, CDN, DRM etc.), Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) & System Integrators for overall system design and solutioning
