shipment at a time.

As we expand our India commercial operations, we are seeking a performance-driven

Category Manager to own and lead the avocado portfolio.

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Category Manager to:

– Own and lead the avocado portfolio in India

– Drive consistent weekly container placements

– Protect and deliver gross margin targets

– Strengthen and expand buyer relationships

– Ensure adherence to HQ-approved payment terms and credit policies

Technical Skills:

– Drive and exceed category revenue and margin goals

– Build a reliable weekly container placement engine.

– Identify new buyer segments and growth opportunities.

– Codify and scale a disciplined sales execution playbook.

– Serve as the India market voice to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and manage strong relationships with wholesale buyers, distributors, and

modern trade chains.

– Negotiate pricing aligned with approved margin benchmarks.

– Monitor daily market pricing, competitor activity, and demand trends.

– Coordinate closely with logistics and supply chain for smooth execution.

– Ensure timely collections and disciplined credit exposure.

– Provide structured weekly market and performance updates.

Who You Are:

5–10+ years of experience in fresh produce trading or import distribution in India.

Strong active network with buyers in wholesale markets and modern retail chains.

Proven track record managing fresh produce container-based trading.

Deep understanding of pricing dynamics and perishable supply chains.

Strong negotiation and commercial discipline.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field (MBA is a plus).

Fluent in English; Hindi and regional languages are an advantage.
