Overview

Analytics Function Overview:

The Analytics function focuses on delivering scalable, insight-driven reporting and advanced analytics solutions to leading global pharmaceutical companies. The team supports commercial, medical, market access, and executive stakeholders by transforming complex healthcare data into actionable, persona-based insights using modern BI platforms and AI-enabled analytics.

Roles and Responsibilities – Summary

  • Analyze large, multi-source pharma datasets independently and extract meaningful business insights
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions primarily using Qlik Sense, with supporting exposure to Power BI where required
  • Translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and semantic definitions aligned with global standards
  • Work with CRM, Field Activity, and Sales performance datasets to enable persona-based reporting across Field Force, Marketing, KAM, and Executive stakeholders
  • Develop interactive dashboards with optimized performance and intuitive navigation
  • Support conversational and augmented analytics using Qlik Insights Advisor, Power BI Copilot, and GenAI-enabled NLP interfaces to enable natural language querying, automated insight discovery, and AI-assisted decision making
  • Assist in setting up KPI explanations, auto-insights, and narrative summaries for business users
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Medical, Access, and Analytics teams to refine reporting needs
  • Work closely with Data Engineering and Data Modeling teams supporting semantic data layers to ensure accurate data consumption
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis for reporting discrepancies
  • Support UAT cycles, business validation, and production releases
  • Prepare client-ready presentations and storytelling decks highlighting insights and trends
  • Take ownership of assigned reporting modules and deliverables
  • Mentor junior analysts and ensure adherence to reporting and visualization standards

Core Competencies

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise-scale Qlik Sense applications across the full development lifecycle, including
  • Designing scalable associative data models using optimized QVD strategies, incremental loading, and modular scripting frameworks across multi-source datasets
  • Advanced analytical development using complex Set Analysis, nested aggregations, dynamic variables, alternate states, and period-over-period KPI calculations
  • Working within Qlik Sense Enterprise or Qlik Cloud environments including Section Access implementation, row-level security (RLS), governance controls, publishing workflows, spaces management, and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience developing reusable dashboard frameworks using master items, variables, and standardized KPI definitions
  • Working exposure to Power BI is required, including dashboard development
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis
  • Exposure to conversational and GenAI-enabled analytics capabilities including:
  • – QLIK Sense Insights Advisor
  • – Power BI Copilot and AI-assisted querying
  • – Natural language querying and KPI explanations with automated narrative generation
  • Understanding of dashboard performance optimization (filtering strategies, aggregations, and data extraction approaches)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and executive communication

Domain & Business Knowledge

  • Life sciences / pharmaceutical analytics experience (3+ years)
  • Good understanding of pharma datasets such as:
  • – IQVIA (Sales, Claims, Rx, SISO, DDD)
  • – CRM / Veeva activity data
  • – HUB, Specialty Pharmacy, Claims, Payer data
  • Exposure to Commercial Analytics, Field Effectiveness, Brand Performance, or Market Access reporting
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical KPIs across the patient journey, prescriber behavior, sales performance, and HCP engagement analytics

  • Advanced Qlik Sense developer with strong hands-on experience building enterprise-scale reporting and dashboard solutions across the full application lifecycle
  • Working exposure to Power BI is required, including dashboard development and KPI reporting.

  • Therapy area knowledge (any one TA is a plus)
  • Prior experience supporting global or regional pharma reporting programs.

Highest Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related analytical disciplines

• Strong academic background with quantitative and analytical coursework preferred.
