Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with a passion for financial technology and a forward-thinking approach to software development. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and deploy secure, high-volume, and scalable financial applications.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript/Python and actively utilizes AI coding assistants—specifically Claude/Claude Code—to enhance productivity, refactor legacy code, and accelerate development cycles while maintaining strict code quality and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end: from data model and API design through frontend implementation, test coverage, and production deployment
- Integrate with Indian financial infrastructure (GSTN, bank APIs, UPI, NBFC partner APIs) — building reliable, schema-validated, audit-logged integrations
- Design and implement financial data pipelines that are correct before they are fast — reconciliation, state machines, immutable ledger entries
- Contribute to the AI development infrastructure, including writing generation skills for recurring patterns
- Participate in architecture decisions — not just implementation; you are expected to push back on designs that will create problems at scale
- Write tests that test behaviour, not implementation: state transitions, business rule enforcement, and edge cases in financial calculations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional full-stack experience, with at least 2 years in a fintech, payments, or financial services product
- Strong TypeScript across the full stack — types that document intent, not just satisfy the compiler; Python proficiency for data pipelines, scripting, and AI/ML integration layers
- Backend: NestJS or Fastify on Node.js; confident with async flows, queue-based processing, and idempotency patterns
- Frontend: React (Next.js), with preference for server components and lightweight state over heavy client-side state management
- PostgreSQL as primary database — schema design with financial data integrity in mind: constraints, transactions, audit columns
- Experience building at least one of: payment rail integration (UPI, NEFT/RTGS, IMPS), reconciliation systems, KYB/KYC pipelines, or event-driven transaction processing
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory context: RBI guidelines, DPDP Act, GST compliance, or the Account Aggregator framework
- AI-augmented engineering: productive with Claude Code, able to write and maintain CLAUDE.md standards, and exercises judgment over AI-generated output rather than accepting it uncritically
