Freelance Opportunity: Mobile SDET (Android & iOS | Kotlin Multiplatform)

We are looking for a Freelance Mobile SDET with strong expertise in test automation and mobile application quality engineering to support ongoing product development.

This role focuses on ensuring high-quality mobile applications across Android and iOS, with a key emphasis on testing shared business logic built using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for mobile applications
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Automate mobile UI tests using Appium / XCUITest / Espresso
• Validate mobile-specific scenarios:
• Device compatibility
• App lifecycle events
• Network conditions
• Push notifications
• Deep linking
• Test and validate shared business logic built using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Ensure consistency of shared logic across Android & iOS platforms
• Perform basic API testing for backend services
• Log and track defects with clear reproduction steps
• Collaborate with developers and QA team in an Agile environment
• Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation
• Strong experience testing mobile applications (Android & iOS)
• Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks (Appium / XCUITest / Espresso)
• Strong programming skills in Kotlin
• Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Solid understanding of testing fundamentals, SDLC, and Agile
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of Swift or Java
• Experience with API automation (RestAssured / Postman / similar)
• Experience with real device testing platforms (BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab, etc.)

Profiles focused only on Android/iOS development without testing experience may not be considered.
