Rebar Execution (Supervisor)

Qualification

  • ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Relevant Construction Trade preferred

  • Candidates with strong practical experience in reinforcement and bar fixing works will also be considered

  • Role Overview

    The candidate will act as a frontline site supervisor responsible for supervising reinforcement works and bar fixing activities at site. The role involves monitoring labour teams, ensuring proper placement of reinforcement as per drawings and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), and supporting engineers in maintaining productivity, quality, and safety during reinforcement operations.

    The position will work closely with Rebar Engineers, Tower Incharges, and site execution teams to ensure smooth reinforcement execution before formwork closing and concreting activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Reinforcement Site Execution

  • Supervise bar cutting, bending, and fixing activities at the site.

  • Ensure reinforcement is installed as per structural drawings and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS).

  • Monitor reinforcement works for columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, and other structural elements.

  • Supervision of Bar Fixing Teams

  • Manage and supervise bar benders, bar fixers, and reinforcement labour teams.

  • Ensure proper deployment of labour, tools, and reinforcement materials.

  • Maintain productivity and discipline among reinforcement teams.

  • Work Coordination

  • Coordinate with Rebar Engineers, Civil Execution Engineers, and Formwork Teams to ensure proper sequencing of reinforcement works.

  • Ensure reinforcement works are completed before formwork closing and concreting schedules.

  • Report any site issues or delays in reinforcement activities to engineers.

  • Quality Monitoring

  • Ensure reinforcement placement follows proper spacing, lap lengths, anchorage, and cover block requirements.

  • Identify reinforcement deviations or improper fixing and inform engineers for corrective actions.

  • Safety Compliance

  • Ensure safe handling and lifting of reinforcement bars and steel bundles.

  • Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and use required PPE.

  • Maintain safe practices during cutting, bending, and fixing operations.

  • Daily Reporting

  • Provide daily updates on reinforcement progress, labour strength, and material requirements.

  • Inform engineers about steel shortages, congestion issues, or execution challenges.

  • Technical / Functional Skills

  • Practical knowledge of reinforcement fixing and bar bending operations

  • Experience handling bar fixing labour and reinforcement teams

  • Basic understanding of reinforcement drawings and BBS (preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple reinforcement work fronts at site

  • Strong labour supervision and coordination skills

  • Good understanding of reinforcement placement practices

  • Ability to work in fast-paced high-rise construction environments

  • Practical problem-solving ability at the site level
