Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Executive with a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in the packaged food sector. The ideal candidate will specialize in General Trade (GT) sales and distribution, with a strong track record of expanding market presence and driving revenue growth. This role is critical in strengthening our retail footprint across kirana stores, supermarkets, and local trade channels by onboarding and managing distributors, optimizing product placement, and ensuring consistent stock availability. The Business Development Executive will play a key role in achieving sales targets, monitoring market dynamics, and fostering long-term relationships with retailers and partners. Success in this position requires strategic thinking, resilience, and a deep understanding of GT channel operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to grow market share within the General Trade segment.Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, super stockists, and retail networks.Ensure consistent product availability and optimal placement in retail outlets, kirana stores, supermarkets, and local trade channels.Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive territory management.Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging market trends to maintain a competitive edge.Conduct regular field visits to assess product visibility, stock levels, and retail execution.Oversee secondary sales performance and ensure efficient inventory turnover across the distribution network.Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with retailers and distribution partners.Collaborate with internal teams on supply chain logistics, promotional campaigns, and product launches.Requirements
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in packaged food sales.Proven expertise in General Trade (GT) channel sales and distribution.Demonstrated experience in selling to retail shops and managing distributor networks.Solid understanding of territory planning, market expansion, and distribution strategy.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Highly target-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.Benefits
