We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with around 3 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web and/or API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in testing concepts, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to work closely with development and product teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications
Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (JIRA or similar)
Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing as part of release cycles
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met before releases
Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on test automation
Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (STLC, SDLC, test design techniques)
Experience working with test frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber and Gauge etc.
Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as:
Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
Proficiency in at least one programming language:
Java / Python / JavaScript
Experience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
