Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Technology Project Management to lead strategic, cross-functional technology programs across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise platforms. This role is a leadership position responsible for translating business strategy into executable programs, driving maturity, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact initiatives across technology services.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of program leadership, technical depth, and executive-level communication, with proven experience partnering with senior technology leaders, mentoring high-performing teams, and delivering outcomes across complex, multi-threaded initiatives.

You will shape and govern the program management function, enable predictable delivery, and ensure alignment between business priorities and technical execution. Responsibilities

  • Drive the continual evolution and maturity of the Program and Project Management organization by establishing, adopting, and refining standards, methodologies, and governance aligned with PMI frameworks and industry best practices to improve delivery consistency, transparency, and outcomes.
  • Partner with senior Technology and business leadership to define strategic initiatives, assess business needs, and develop multi-year roadmaps aligned to organizational outcomes.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional programs focused on infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, operational maturity, and enterprise platforms.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable program plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee end-to-end program delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring scope, schedule, risk, and dependencies are actively managed.
  • Define and maintain program governance, including standardized delivery frameworks, reporting cadences, and executive-level communications.
  • Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and strategic insights to executive stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and interdependencies; drive mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
  • Identify inefficiencies and gaps in business and technical processes; partner with stakeholders to implement improvements, automation, and best practices.
  • Establish, maintain, and report on program- and team-level KPIs to measure delivery effectiveness and value realization.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate performance trends and continuously optimize program execution and decision-making.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project and program managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high‑performing teams from a people‑leadership perspective, including talent development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance goals; provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and career development for team members.
  • Lead through influence, enabling alignment across distributed teams and diverse technical domains.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between technology teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear articulation of requirements, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Provide sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with infrastructure, cloud, security, and operations leaders, translating strategy into tactical execution.
  • Collaborate closely with technology, security, and operations partners to ensure programs align with compliance, regulatory, and risk management requirements.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in project or program management supporting senior technology leaders, including ownership of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic programs within IT infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Proven experience operating at a director level, influencing senior stakeholders and driving organizational change.
  • Strong command of program and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid) and associated tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, similar platforms).
  • Ability to establish delivery standards, governance models, and performance metrics at scale.
  • Experience managing complex dependencies across operations, engineering, security, and business teams.
  • Working knowledge of service management frameworks (ITIL, SRE) and operational best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-level presentations, reports, and briefings.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical, structured problem-solver with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity effectively.
