Avigna is hiring SAP MDG Consultant

We are looking for an SAP MDG Designer / Consultant to join the team, contribute to global master data governance initiatives, and drive both project and service activities. Experience : 6+ years

Location : Chakan (Onsite 2–3 days/week)

Mode of work : Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Lead design activities as part of project assignments, acting as a Gap Lead for solution development
• Work closely with SMEs and architects to define and design end-to-end MDG solutions
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into detailed designs
• Develop detailed design documentation, including test scope and test scenario definitions
• Provide solutions for global template development, enhancements, and service requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and CI-driven developments
• Analyze incidents, classify issues, prioritize them, and support service restoration activities
• Perform incident investigation, diagnosis, and resolution
• Manage assigned incidents and tasks, ensuring timely updates and communication with stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, project teams, SDT, and support teams
• Build effective working relationships across sites and global teams
• Demonstrate accountability for deliverables with strong ownership, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards
• Follow defined IT processes, methods, and governance guidelines
• Proactively identify risks and escalate issues when necessary

Qualification:

• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC/S4HANA Material Master and Business Partner Master Data
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG (Materials & BP)
• MDG Implementation experience (full lifecycle)
• Experience with MDG Data Import Framework
• MDG Data Model Extension expertise
• BRF+ configuration and rule setup experience
• ABAP knowledge related to MDG enhancements and Badi’s
• Understanding of MDG governance, workflows, and UI modeling

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with additional MDG domains such as Finance and Equipment (MDG-EAM, AIW)
