We are looking for a highly skilled SAP BASIS Consultant with strong expertise in S/4 HANA system conversions and Downtime Optimized Conversion (DOC) to join a critical transformation program.
Role
As an SAP BASIS S/4 HANA Consultant, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end S/4 HANA system conversion projects, ensuring minimal downtime, system stability, and performance optimization using DOC methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute SAP S/4 HANA system conversion projects (Brownfield approach)
- Plan and implement Downtime Optimized Conversion (DOC) strategies
- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and landscape transformations
- Optimize system performance and reduce downtime during cutover
- Handle SUM (Software Update Manager) with DMO/DOC options
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot complex issues during conversion and post-go-live phases
- Ensure system integrity, data consistency, and compliance
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
Required Skills
- 8+ years of strong experience in SAP BASIS
- Hands-on experience in S/4 HANA system conversion with DOC option
- Expertise in SUM with DMO and DOC
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database, architecture, and migration
- Experience in system refresh, client copy, and transport management
- Certification:
- E_S4HCON2023 (SAP S/4HANA Conversion & System Upgrade) – Mandatory
- Valid DOC Badge – Mandatory
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale enterprise SAP transformations
- Exposure to SAP landscape architecture & cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting
- Strong stakeholder communication and project handling skills
