System Engineer – Validation Converter (Electrical)

Virbhu India Pvt Ltd – Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK-LLC (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for a Validation Engineer. The position will be involved in validation of new product development supporting the design and launch of next generation of cutting-edge products.

The Validation Engineer is responsible for testing, validating high-performance Power Electronics converter used in data-center or EV charging station.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for testing various components like inductor, High Frequency transformer, IGBT, MOSFET, various switchgear components used in High Power AC to DC Converter. Also, have experience of AC to DC, DC to DC converter testing.
• Must understand various AC-DC topology used hardware design of converter.
• Good understanding of various IEC & UL standards used in converter applications.
• Understand testing infrastructure required to support solid state electronics power conversion devices.
• Preparation of Test plan, Test Procedure & Test Report for Power Converters.
• Experienced in testing to debug system problems.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Must have knowledge of various software tool to prepare Electrical circuit diagram like Visio, AUTOCAD – Electrical etc.
• Knowledge of component selection, magnetics design and powertrain design for inverters and DC-DC converters will be added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities.

Qualifications

• BE Electrical/Electronics.
• Must have 2-5 years of experience with power electronics or inverter testing.
