About the Role
Garden Flavours is looking for a technically sound and growth-oriented Flavorist to support flavour development across food and beverage categories.
This role is ideal for someone who has foundational experience in flavour formulation and raw materials, understands aroma chemicals and food systems, and is keen to deepen their expertise under structured mentorship.
We are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with curiosity, discipline, and a strong desire to learn and evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Flavour Development & Matching
- Assist in developing and modifying flavours across categories (beverages, bakery, dairy, confectionery, savoury, etc.)
- Support flavour matching projects under senior guidance
- Contribute to optimisation of formulations for performance, cost, and compliance
- Maintain structured documentation of formulations and trials
Application & Trial Support
- Support application testing in different product systems
- Observe and understand flavour behaviour under various processing conditions
- Assist in troubleshooting flavour performance in finished products
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with Sales and Application teams to understand customer briefs
- Participate in product discussions and solution development
- Stay updated on industry trends, ingredients, and regulatory requirements
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure proper documentation and lab discipline
- Follow internal quality and safety protocols
- Develop familiarity with FSSAI and relevant compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in flavours, food ingredients, or related industry
- Strong basic knowledge of aroma chemicals and flavour bases
- Understanding of flavour matching principles (even if not fully independent yet)
- Sound sensory awareness and attention to detail
- Structured, disciplined lab approach
- Strong willingness to learn and grow technically
- Ability to take feedback constructively
Educational Background
- BSc / MSc in Chemistry, Food Technology, or related field
- Prior experience in a flavour house, ingredient company, or food manufacturing setup preferred
