Job Description:

ABOUT STAHL COOKWARE

Stahl is a premium Indian cookware brand built on the belief that great cooking begins with great tools. We are a design-forward manufacturing company headquartered in Pune. Our ambition is to re-imagine the Indian kitchen — not by chasing trends, but by deeply understanding how people cook, what they aspire to, and what would delight them before they even knew to ask for it.

We make products that earn a place in kitchens for a lifetime. This role is central to that

promise.

THE ROLE

Our marketplace business is evolving from a high-performing channel into a core engine of growth and brand building, requiring a step-change in how we think, operate, and lead. This role exists to bring true end-to-end ownership — moving beyond execution to building a scalable, high-performance marketplace business that reflects our premium positioning.

It will drive the shift from activity to outcomes, combining P&L accountability, algorithm-first thinking, and strong commercial judgement to build a marketplace engine that scales with intent, discipline, and conviction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Revenue & P&L Ownership

– Own the Amazon India P&L end-to-end — GMV, net revenue, contribution margin, and ROAS.

– Build and deliver monthly and quarterly revenue plans across categories and key SKUs.

– Own the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Amazon; track performance weekly with clear gap identification and recovery actions.

– Drive strict outcome accountability with agency partners — with a structured review cadence in place.

Advertising & Performance

– Lead the end-to-end advertising strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and DSP.

– Manage the agency as a true business owner, defining TACOS guardrails, ROAS thresholds, and share-of-voice ambitions.

– Own the search and keyword strategy, ensuring sustained premium visibility and conversion on the platform.

Catalogue & Content Excellence

– Ensure best-in-class catalogue hygiene — A+ content, brand store, imagery, and listing quality at all times.

– Drive flawless new product launches — from listing readiness to PPC ramp-up and early review acquisition.

– Own category-wise ranking strategy, ensuring strong discoverability and conversion. Commercial & Marketplace Management

– Own Buy Box performance, proactively managing and resolving 3P seller conflicts.

– Lead commercial negotiations, including deals, visibility programs, and co-marketing investments.

– Build and maintain strong relationships with platform category teams to unlock growth levers.

Team & Capability Building

– Lead and develop the KAM team, setting clear goals, driving performance, and building capability.

– Conduct a 60-day capability assessment and provide a clear recommendation on team scalability.

– Expand scope over time to include international marketplaces. Cross-Functional Collaboration

– Partner with the brand team to ensure Amazon execution is aligned with overall brand standards.

– Work closely with supply chain to ensure inventory availability, FBA health, and demand planning.

– Align with the D2C team to ensure clear ownership boundaries and smooth resource transition where required.

– Work with Marketing team to ensure Amazon content is brand-consistent

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

We want to be explicit about scope boundaries:

– Manage the D2C website, Shopify, or stahlkitchens.com — this responsibility sits with the D2C Head’s domain

– Define brand positioning or create content — they receive brand assets and deploy them

– Own Trade Marketing or General Trade activation

– Manage export distributor relationships

– Accept external factors as the default explanation for misses from the agency or the team

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 24 MONTHS

– Amazon business scales predictably, delivering this year’s targets and building a strong foundation for the next phase of growth.

– Clear performance guardrails are established early — with defined TACOS benchmarks aligned to category norms and consistently adhered to.

– Buy Box ownership remains best-in-class (>92%), with proactive management of seller dynamics and listing health.

– Catalogue quality is non-negotiable, with >95% of listings fully optimised (A+ content, imagery, and compliance).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who:

– Has independently owned a significant Amazon India P&L, with full accountability for revenue, margins, and performance outcomes.

– Brings deep, hands-on expertise across Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Brands, DSP) with a strong grasp of TACOS and performance levers.

– Has led agency partnerships from the brand side, building clear accountability frameworks and driving outcomes, not just activity.

– Understands marketplace fundamentals deeply — including Buy Box dynamics, listing health, suppression, and FBA vs FBM trade-offs.

– Has experience working with premium or lifestyle consumer brands, with an appreciation for positioning, pricing, and brand integrity.

– Is a people leader, with a track record of building, developing, and evaluating high- performing teams.

– Thinks beyond top-line metrics — connects growth to contribution margin and profitability, and makes decisions with a business-first mindset.

– Has worked with Amazon at a Key Account level.

– Experience with Amazon international — Global Selling, Amazon UK/UAE.

– Has worked at a brand that also uses an external agency.

Strong to Have

– 8–12 years of overall experience, with the last 4–5 years focused on Amazon-led roles on the brand or seller side.

– Experience with a premium consumer or high-growth D2C brand where Amazon is a key revenue driver.

– Proven ownership of P&L, with direct accountability for performance.

– Exposure to international marketplaces, with an understanding of cross-border dynamics.

– Masters in Marketing/ Digital Marketing/ Business Management preferred

– Ability to join immediately. The hiring timeline is critical.

WHAT WE OFFER

– Opportunity to be part of a brand that transforms kitchens into spaces of joy, not just utility. Here, you will find the environment and trust to push boundaries and create work you can truly be proud of, work that becomes a meaningful part of people’s lives.

– Simple, low-hierarchy culture with open and honest collaboration across levels, where ownership comes with responsibility and grows with you.

– We ensure a way of working that respects life beyond work.

– Along with competitive compensation, other benefits and exclusive staff discounts on our products.

If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity employer that values diverse perspectives and the strength they bring to our teams. We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, ancestry, national origin, caste, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, marital status, or any other protected characteristic.
