Job Description

The Senior Network Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade, cloud-native network architectures in high-availability, regulated environments.

This role focuses on building resilient, scalable, and secure networking foundations for large-scale Kubernetes platforms (primarily AWS EKS, with exposure to GKE and Azure), supporting AI-adjacent and data-intensive workloads.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architecting VPCs, pod/service networking, ingress/egress patterns, service discovery, and advanced connectivity solutions (e.g., Transit Gateway, peering, hybrid connectivity)
  • Enforcing zero-trust security models through network policies, IAM integration, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS)
  • Driving cost-efficient, high-performance designs with strong observability (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Splunk) and reliability practices (SRE principles, MTTR reduction, incident response).

The ideal candidate will collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, and development teams to enable developer self-service via GitOps, Terraform/Ansible automation, and resilient infrastructure for AI inference, analytics pipelines, and distributed systems.

This position emphasizes modern cloud networking over traditional hardware-centric designs, while ensuring seamless integration across multi-cloud and hybrid setups, proactive risk reduction, and continuous improvement in performance, security, and operational efficiency.

Specific Skills:

  • Great communication with customers and executives
  • Experience in consulting and working on projects directly with clients
  • Experience working directly with customer technical leadership
  • Ability to work independently and to drive results
  • Deep experience with SDN, CNaaS, and large-scale network architectures
  • Strong background in solution design for enterprise network platforms
  • Familiarity with security, access controls, and multi-tenant environments
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving infrastructure programs

What they’ll work on:

  • Leading solutioning and architecture discussions with stakeholders
  • Designing SDN and CNaaS integration patterns
  • Supporting monthly LOE scoping and prioritization
  • Providing architectural direction to delivery teams
  • Acting as a trusted technical partner as the customer evolves its infrastructure
