Job Position: Senior Fashion Designer – Western Wear

Exp: 6-9 yrs

It was launched in September 2016 with Fable Street, a premium western wear brand focused on providing the best fit for Indian women and Pink Fort — an Indo-western brand reimagining traditional clothing for the woman of today. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of Western wear collections from initial idea through to final product.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques relevant to Western wear.
• Provide creative direction and ensure the design team’s output aligns with the brand’s vision and market demands.
• Create detailed sketches and oversee the development of prototypes and samples.
• Work closely with other departments including marketing, merchandising, and production to ensure cohesive product development and successful launches.
• Oversee fittings and alterations, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
• Identify and liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure timely production.
• Mentor and develop junior designers, fostering a creative and productive team environment.
• Prepare and present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field from NIFT Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 6 years focused on Western wear.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in Western wear design.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles specific to Western wear.
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
