Job Description:
The B2B Integration Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and support of supplier integrations and catalog punchout solutions within enterprise procurement ecosystems. The role requires close collaboration with Supplier Enablement teams, vendors, and technical support partners to ensure seamless B2B document exchange and punchout catalog functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
B2B Integration
- Design, implement, and support B2B integrations including document mappings and document choreography for Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Order Acknowledgements, ASNs, Credit Memos, and Invoices using protocols such as EDI, CSV, HTTP, and cXML.
- Manage integration points with enterprise procurement systems, invoice management platforms, and B2B middleware solutions while maintaining accurate technical and functional documentation for all interfaces and integration flows.
- Support the Supplier Enablement team with onboarding new suppliers, enabling additional document types, enhancements, and resolving break/fix issues.
- Act as the technical liaison between middleware support engineers, internal teams, and external suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve B2B interface errors and technical issues.
- Investigate and resolve B2B interface failures, mapping issues, and technical errors with a strong understanding of implementation guides, mapping requirements, and business validations across all supported document types.
Catalog Punchout
- Configure and support supplier catalog punchout integrations by setting up catalog connections, OCI mappings, credentials, and ensuring catalogs are accessible across the correct organizational structures and requisition processes.
- Manage configuration across environments including development, testing, and production, ensuring proper release and transport management.
- Provide system access and technical support for Supplier Enablement teams, category leads, and testers.
- Perform technical validation and troubleshooting of punchout catalogs including launch, supplier site navigation, cart creation, and correct return of cart data to the procurement system.
- Resolve connectivity issues, timeouts, incorrect data mapping, or cart import errors.
Operational Support & Issue Resolution
- Verify backend purchase order creation from catalog items, ensuring correct pricing, account assignments, and downstream integration flows through B2B channels or vendor processes.
- Investigate and resolve system-side defects, configuration issues, and interface failures raised through incident management systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers when issues involve vendor master data, mappings, or external integration platforms.
- Support production deployments, validate final catalog and integration configurations, assist with go-live testing, and provide hypercare support.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with procurement systems and purchasing processes (MM-like modules preferred).
- Experience working with B2B/EDI integrations and supplier onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with integration protocols such as EDI, cXML, HTTP, and OCI punchout catalogs.
- Experience supporting supplier network platforms or B2B middleware solutions (e.g., Actian or similar).
- Ability to troubleshoot integration errors, mapping issues, and interface failures.
- Strong documentation skills including Functional and Technical Design documentation.
- Experience working with environment management, deployments, and transport/release processes.
