Minimum Qualifications
Total Experience:8+ years in the automotive / embedded domain, witha minimum 4+ years of
dedicated experience in Automotive Cybersecurity(feature design, development, and process
activities).
Proven hands-on experience inautomotive cybersecurity feature developmentin at least two of
the following areas:
o Secure boot / authenticated boot
o Secure software update / OTA security
o Secure diagnostics and security access (UDS ISO 14229)
o Hardware Security Module (HSM) / SHE-based security
o Secure key and certificate management
o Secure in-vehicle and backend communication (e.g. SecOC, TLS, IPsec, SOME/IP
security)
Demonstrated experience working withISO/SAE 21434, including:
o Active participation inTARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment)
o Assist deriving Cybersecurity goals, claims and requirements from TARA outcomes
Working knowledge ofCSMS conceptsand awareness ofUNECE R155 requirements.
Strong foundation inembedded systems and microcontrollers(e.g. ARM, TriCore, PowerPC) and
their security constraints.
Practical experience withAUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive) from a cybersecurity standpoint
would be preferred.
Solid understanding ofcryptographic algorithms and primitives(AES, RSA, ECC, SHA, HMAC,
etc.) and their correct application in automotive systems.
Familiarity withAgile / Scrumdevelopment practices and collaboration with cross-functional
teams.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate
complex security topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Mandatory:ISO/SAE 21434 or equivalentautomotive cybersecurity certification(or demonstrably
equivalent competence).
Job Description:
As aMid-Level Automotive Cybersecurity Consultant, you will be responsible for driving and
supporting cybersecurity engineering and process activities for Automotive middleware software,
ensuring compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE regulations while enabling secure product
development.
Key responsibilities include:
Cybersecurity Feature Engineering
o Collaborate with software architects totranslate cybersecurity requirements into robust
architectures and designson AUTOSAR, and bare-metal platforms.
ISO/SAE 21434 Execution and Process Enablement
o Perform and supportTARA activities, including asset identification, threat scenario
definition, attack path analysis, and risk evaluation.
o Contribute to consultation and reviews of ISO/SAE 21434 work products.
o Support rollout and maintenance of CSMS.
Vulnerability Analysis and Risk Handling
o Assist and review vulnerability analysis and design-level security reviews, identifying
weaknesses and proposing pragmatic mitigations.
o Assist teams in handling of identified vulnerabilities throughroot-cause analysis,
remediation proposals, and verification of implemented fixes.
Consulting, Coordination, and Stakeholder Management
o Act as acybersecurity point of contactfor assigned projects, working closely with
software development, test, safety, and quality teams.
o Support Cybersecurity assessments and audits.
Planning, Tracking, and Reporting
o Supportplanning, estimation, and tracking of cybersecurity activitieswithin project plans.
o Highlightcybersecurity risks, dependencies, and impactson cost/schedule, and support
the definition of mitigation actions.
o Contribute tostandard templates, checklists, and guidelinesto improve repeatability and
maturity of cybersecurity delivery.
Knowledge Building and Mentoring
o Stay abreast ofemerging automotive security threats, tools, and regulatory changes, and
feed insights into project approaches.
