What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):

The Sr Manager, Transition manages the end-to-end transition process, ensuring seamless integration of IT resources and processes The Consultant proactively identifies and champions transformation opportunities, inspires cross-functional teams, and leads the delivery of complex transition projects By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, the Consultant ensures successful outcomes and positions the GCC for sustained future growth The candidate has strong technical background to support the transition of technical resources and is a self-starter which can champion technology transition and transformation including managing a resource pool of resources for distribution into various groups in the future

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end technology and people transition activities, ensuring strategic alignment and successful delivery..
  • Develop and execute detailed transition plans by effectively coordinating cross-functional activities (including vendors), closely monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of all key milestones..
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and dependencies associated with transition activities to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless handover.
  • Serve as an escalation point for on local technology teams when it comes to transition related activities like onboarding, training, system resources etc.
  • Advise on hiring practices within GCC including conducting interviews of key roles within GCC as required.
  • Act as the primary SPOC for transition issues; manage executive-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborates with business units, project managers, transformation teams, finance, training, and IT to gather data and support transition activities.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders across vendors, business units, operations, technology, and support functions to ensure alignment on transition objectives.
  • Work Closely with Talent development, vendors and business units to identify new trainings and upskilling opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging teams to experiment with emerging technologies and deliver proof-of-concept projects.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless integration of transformation initiatives and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Assemble and mentor a cross-functional, highly skilled flex pool Structure the team for agility and rapid mobilization for urgent business needs.
  • Track utilization, productivity, and cost-effectiveness; drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of change, learning, and experimentation.
  • Own transition reporting; develop executive dashboards; track and communicate benefit realization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and trackers to provide regular updates on transition progress, milestones, risks, and issues.
  • Track and report on key transition metrics, including training completion, project financials, and benefit realization.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention or escalation.
  • Support benefit tracking by collecting and validating data related to cost savings, efficiency gains, and other transformation outcomes.
  • Lead post-transition reviews; implement lessons learned and process enhancements.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and resolve risks and escalations; ensure seamless handover and minimal disruption.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to transition management, reporting, and documentation processes.
  • Support post-transition reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement for future transitions.
  • Collaborates with business units, project managers, transformation teams, finance, training, and IT to gather data and support transition activities.
  • Partners with reporting and analytics teams to standardize and automate reporting processes.
  • Comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and control requirements.

Who You Are (skills / qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

  • 15+ years of Technology experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or solution design role leading large technology teams in either Data, AI, CICD, microservices or enterprise cloud technologies.
  • 5+ years’ experience in transitioning technology work into global setting.
  • Experience in driving large scale technology transformations with quantifiable benefits.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in large organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and visualization (Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong financial management (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Good to have Skills:

  • Masters degree – in Business, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in financial services or shared / global capability centers.
  • Owning end to end enterprise grade application.
  • Extensive exposure to hiring and building strong teams.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software evaluation, and deployment.
